From Founder
Miss Kathakali, the founder of Nazaaqat, grew up in the picturesque heritage town of Shantiniketan, surrounded by the vibrant colours of her family’s designer store and engaging with local craftsmen. Those experiences enabled her to establish a strong sense of aesthetic. While she went through high school and university in Kolkata, she intended to establish something of her own that would allow her to create employment and improve the standard of living for artisans in her hometown. As a result of her determination to return her love for the heritage town and its people, as well as to showcase Shantiniketan’s world of magnificent ethnic and handcrafted jewellery, the brand was created with an aim to reach masses with varies options from the handpicked jewellery and home decor products.

Started by Ms. Kathakali Chattopadhyay in June 2022 with the aim of living up to the latest trends without compromising on the standard of the products. Nazaqaat is all set to expand its product line to handcrafted lifestyle and home décor items, sourced directly from the artisans of rural Bengal .
